Give Liverpool Victoria a ring I switched from Direct Line and saved a fortune on three cars.

These are very good people in my experience. Not necessarily the cheapest but the cover they get from the insurers they work with is very good. For example, a lot of “cheap” insurance state you must use their recommended repairers to have your car fixed: policies available from these people allow you to use your JLR dealer for repairs.

Hi VelarMan,

Sorry but please could you PM me the contact details for your insurer - have just had a shocking quote for our Velar, despite 18 years no claims!

Would be so grateful.
Thanks,
Hazel

i've just switched form my local broker who i have used for years to Liverpool Victoria and saved a fortune! they wanted £900 just for the velar and i've switched to LV for less than £700 to insure both my cars! includes lots of extra's to inc legal expenses, like for like courtesy car, european breakdown cover (not that i need it on velar) no claims protection etc etc.

Thanks lawly74 and Lewij - my quotes were going over £1000 - probably due to increase in theft round here. Appreciate your responses - thanks ...

I was with Sheila’s Wheels for my old car and stayed with them for my new Velar. My A6 was £480 per year (12 years no claims) and the Velar is £520 per year. Very happy with that.

Are you talking about ‘fully comp’?

I paid almost £1300 per a value of the car at £64K
