Got an itch

Post by Nowaytk » Sat Jan 18, 2020 4:48 pm

As per title, I’m thinking of scratching an itch I’ve had for ages, and that’s having the sound / performance of a V8 under my right foot :D
The problem is, I still want an SUV type of vehicle the same sort of size as the Velar as that suits my needs perfectly, so that rules out a lot of vehicles in this sector, and as I just don’t like the merc interiors I’m drawn towards the Jaaaaag,
Got a test drive booked for next weekend for the F-pace SVR, but from what I’ve seen and heard on-line I’m almost sold beforehand
I know the facelift for the pace is due out soon but no one can say that the Supercharged V8 will still be available? With talk of maybe a turbocharged V6, which will never sound like a V8 :D so I’ll have to pull the trigger soon or even source used ? Just got to go through some numbers etc and depending on what I get for mine, who knows, might be leaving the forum soon ?

My itch is telling me new Defender! Love my Velar but I’m somewhat smitten by the Defender after seeing it at my dealer launch event.

Think I’ll be going the defender route once this itch is well and truly scratched, :D , hopefully by then the hybrid 90 will be out with any teething problems sorted, as like you there’s something about it that does make it very appealing 👍🏻

Well, had a test drive and what can I say, awesomely intoxicating comes to mind, so much so, I’ve definitely decided to have this itch well and truly scratched 😃. I gave them my ideal spec and asked to see if they can find a pre registered one, and apart from a couple of extras I could’ve done without like the 22” wheels and drive pack, with a small discount it still worked out cheaper than a build with a 20 week wait.
Looks like Saturday I’ll be saying goodbye to the velar and saying hello to a permagrin 😁

Well, tomorrow 8:30 is when I say goodbye Velar hello F-Pace, I must say the velar has been an effortless cruiser, and when it’s working how it should, a very nice place to be. Rather looking forward to this one, just hope the V8 “experience” is worth the extra costs.
