Velar on the beach

Got a chance to drive on one of the few places in California where it is legal to drive on the beach (Oceano dunes). It was fun trying out the sand mode!

Great! Did you drop the psi? Doesn’t seem like it in the pics, though little hard to tell with the shadows.

Didn’t touch the tires, as didn’t do any really serious dune crawling. Sand mode worked great. It keeps the engine revs higher by limiting gear shifts, and the car kept great traction.

Awesome to hear! I remember those dunes being pretty crazy having rented a dune buggy one year there. Lower beach part wasn’t bad, so makes sense you didn’t have to lower psi.
