I ordered and paid a deposit 2 weeks ago for a P250 R Dynamic HSE, I received an email today stating that the specification had changed and my car would be a 19MY not an 18MY, I was warned it could affect me financially, any ideas or advice?
As a lawyer (albeit working in Australia not the UK), its highly likely in the fine print in you sales contract it will say that the dealer DOES have the right to advise you of a spec change and price increase prior to delivery (because the factory might not simply be making the exact model you ordered by the time it gets to be built) BUT ..... it certainly should also say that IF you are notified of a price INCREASE - THEN you have the right to decide whether to either accept it and continue with the contract OR to pull out and get a full refund.

Seen some chat on an XF Forum that the introduction of WLTP standard 1st Sept is going to mean significant price increases for the new engine adjustments on big cars with big mills. And perhaps bargains as the already manufactured cars become unsellable. Not so sure onthe last point for Velars so early in its life tho...
