Air suspension
Air suspension
Dear all,
Just want to check, if air susspension is common amongst all trim levels or is it specific to a trim/package?

Re: Air suspension
At least in US, it is standard on 6 cylinder cars for 2018 MY i.e. P380, as D300 didn't make it over here, and an option on 4 cylinder cars. I also read that for 2019 MY onwards it is no longer standard on 6 cylinder cars.
I don't know whether it is included in specific trims otherwise. I would not assume so, and would make sure when ordering that the option is checked if you want the feature.

Re: Air suspension
P250 is a very nice engine - I'm happy with mine. Good luck!

Re: Air suspension
It varies by trim and engine in the UK. It used to be that the V6 engines came with air suspension but that's no longer always the case. For example the base model has coils as standard. It may well vary depending on which market it's being sold in.
While we're talking about it, what's the view of air vs coils among those familiar with both.

I had an X6 with 22" wheels and coil suspension and it was absolutely fine.BerksDriver wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:22 pmIt varies by trim and engine in the UK. Borrowed a RR Vogue for a few days, it had air suspension and I really didn't like it. Too 'comfortable'. Like being driven in a limo, smooth with a sideways rocking. Personal preference of course but I like to feel like I'm driving a car, not 'floating' along the road.
Re: Air suspension
Haven't tried air suspension, but I am happy with the ride on my coils. Very smooth but connected to the road. Coils still have the adaptive suspension system which may help with the ride.
Re: Air suspension
Annoyingly, if you spec a P300 with 22in wheels, you have to have air suspension as a paid option

Re: Air suspension
Having had both a coiled Velar and an air Velar is Say the ride is totally different and worth the extra £££ for air.
Not that coiled was bad but the difference really does make the car.
