Newest member of the family

Post by Velarian » Thu Sep 13, 2018 4:57 pm

After ordering a 180D R-Dynamic SE early June I was able to pick up my beauty today.

Did around 100km and the car just drives incredibly well. Coming from an Audi A6, the Velar takes luxury to a whole new level.

I have to admit that I’m struggling with getting to know all features - there simply is no way exploring all menus while driving and I will need to spend 1h in the car while standing still.

For those fearing that the 180D would lack power, I am pleasantly surprised of how well it drives in Dynamic mode. It’s no sports car but no lame SUV either.

One remark at this stage - the sensors seem to be hypersensitive and they tend to beep while simply driving straightforward on the road - don’t even know why they beep as it happened twice while there was no other vehicle/obstacle around.

Apart from that, I absolutely love the car!

Congrats, those wheels really suit the Corris Grey colour.

750km at this stage and I can only reconfirm that the car is truly superb. Excellent driving, extremely comfortable and no issues at all so far.

Just one downside - the fuel tank is too small.

I also found out that the sensors are completely ok. The beeping was related to upcoming fixed speed cameras - handy feature!

Agree the fuel tank could be bigger. I believe the petrol cars got a bigger tank for the 19MY.

I have to admit that I am paying much less attention to these forums lately as I’m simply enjoying my Velar so much. However I decided to share a brief update as I do realise that you will generally only hear the Velar owners with bad experiences or simply bad luck and not so much from happy and satisfied customers who do represent the vast majority of Velar owners.

A little over 3 weeks and 4.100km further, I can only re-express myself as being a blessed owner of the fine vehicle that the Velar is. Apart from spending too much time at the gas station, I am enjoying this car so much at many levels. The comfort is outstanding and the car’s performance is remarkable - this is a true SUV!

What is everyone getting miles per gallon? Interested in the 180d or the 275d or the 300d or the petrol options
