7 day free insurance was a shocker reply. I will certainly report it. I will contact A Plan as Aviva refused to insure without a garage. Thanks.

For those still looking, you could try......

Gary Adair
First Point Insurance
Talavera Court, Darnell Way, Northampton NN3 6RW
Direct Dial : 01604 498868

I got an Aviva Private Clients policy, all singing and dancing for just under £1000. Seems a lot but my partner passed her test last month and car is just over £60k. On my own in was £479.

Hello All,

Could one of you please share the contact details for VelarMan's NFU Mutual Insurance person?

I've been quoted astronomical figures on Confused.com and Compare the Market!

Thanks

Sorry Mr. Singh, can't really help you out as I'm in spain.

What I can say is that I had a terrible motorbike accident a year ago and the insurance should take an important part of the budget.

I'm struggling with the insurance of the motorbike for every need that I have, and I'm still recovering and going through surgeries.

Finally picking up my Velar this weekend and the Dealer has been trying hard to sell their Insurance Policies (as expected)!

Decided to Decline GAP/RTI Insurance because my Policy already covers the full purchase price for 1st year. But I'm really tempted to go for the SMART and Tyre Insurance:

For 2 year period Dealer has quoted - £349 for SMART Repair Insurance (to cover scratches/chips/dents) and £249 for Tyre Insurance (covering 5 tyres upto £200 price Limit and no excess on policy).

Haven't been able to find comparable price matches for RRV online, so I'm concerned if the Dealer is overcharging?

Also, the tyre insurance doesn't cover Alloys which are really expensive so does it still make sense?

A 'package' deal would be ideal as I don't want to regret not getting this minor stuff at a later date :(

Really looking forward to hearing you experience/advice/insight, thanks!

Hi. I’m buying me car in September and going with smart insurance at £185 for 2 years - covers up to 30cm scratches and up to 2 panels with yearly limit at £3k. I’m not going for alloy/tyre cover.
