Seat Entry & Exit Mode question

Post by Pfalder » Thu Oct 10, 2019 11:33 pm

Hi new owner here just 1 week in with my lovely d300 HSE RDynamic.
When I exit the car the driver’s seat moves back and lowers automatically to aid exit.
Is the passenger seat supposed to do the same?
Mine does not, but I can’t find any reference to whether this feature is supposed to work on both seats or just the driver’s.
Regards, Peter

Just the driver’s side Peter - presumably to help get the beer belly under the steering wheel. Glad you’re loving your one week old Velar......so am I just a week now after taking delivery of D240 HSE.

Thanks for the quick response Chindit. That’s a shame, my elderly Mum would have found it useful on the passenger side too.

Can you program one of the passenger seat memory settings to achieve the same thing? I suppose it would mean pressing a button though.

Do you have to enable this option?
I have an HSE too, and my driver seat does not move when I leave the car...

Is this a feature of the HSE trim level or something that has to be activated? I have the SE trim level and I did not know that this feature existed.

From memory to enable this you turn the knob on the side of the steering wheel (the one that adjusts rake & reach)

Agree it would be good on the passenger side too.

I have an elderly 92 year old mother too and will taking her out for the first time in the Velar in a weeks time. My plan is to lower the passenger seat as far as possible and then save that setting as M3 and to use that to help her board and alight from the vehicle.
