reading texts

Post by Kryten » Sat Jan 11, 2020 8:23 am

Car's just been in for a software update and now I can't get the car to read texts to me - I can't find it in settings anywhere. Can any of you good people point me in the right direction please?

Cheers, Ed

Do you mean with ACP or AA? If ACP try looking in your phone settings (settings > general > CarPlay) to check you have the message app available when in car.

Also make sure your phone paired all Bluetooth profiles, so your car have access to audio from phone, phonebook etc.

Spoke to the dealer and it's a known issue with the latest apple phone update. Waiting for the car software to catch up now!

Have you tried updating your phone to the newest iOS? Could be a long wait if JLR need to update their software.

I’m on 19C in the car and 13.3.1 iOS and it reads my texts OK.
