Unfortunately I park my car away from any mains socket, so I'm looking for any tips on how I can conserve or monitor my battery.
Are there any settings which can reduce the unattended consumption?
Any recommendations for a portable jump start kit?
Things I've learned from my flat battery experience of yesterday:-
- the emergency key to unlock/lock the doors loves to scratch paintwork
- the key socket rusts. WD40 is your friend
- trying to start the car results in the alarm sounding (thankfully weakly). I suspect this is because the key fob sensors were disabled, but I couldn't get the procedure holding the fob under the steering column to work either.
