I've just been in contact over the phone with the land rover garage where my car is at the moment and, according to them, the system is telling them that there is no update available to my version which is 18B. Any tips?
Just picked up my car and no update, still on 18B, I had a funny conversation with the tecnician garage guy:

"Are you sure you have updated everything?"
"Yes! everything I've found!"
"What were the updates you made?"
"I don't know"
...

It's frustrating.

Next week I have to bring the car bach as they'll change the sterring wheel since some leather detached from it, in the meantime they'll get in contact with the official Land Rover technical office to try to sort the update out and I've sent them the pics of 18C taken from ovalnews as a reference to help them out while doing the talks.

Their training level is embarrasing.

It's a Disco not Velar, but still good to see.

I have an updaate: to be honest I've found out that by the time they had my car in service there was no official mention of 18C nor CarPlay in Topix, two documents came out only yesterday at 1:00pm and since my car was there in the morning...they were actually right.

If it could be of any help for anyone the 18C referrence I've found is on document: "PATHFINDER Software Release - 0075" and "Relase notes Incontrol touch pro update" dated 10/2018 where it mentioned version 18C_5 and "H157 UPS10018-1" for applying the smartphone pack but I'm not sure is Velar related as I cannot open it.

When I'll be back there to change the sterring well for the leather issue they'll also try to apply those updated software. Let's hope for the best.

You need a paid subscription to open documents on Topix

I have the other two but the one mentioned I cannot open is, I guess, referring to another land rover model, not the velar

Picked up my Velar yesterday, I insisted that the latest software version be installed
It came with S18C, which I am assuming is phase5

Didn’t come with CarPlay, but I am not too fussed as long as the software is stable, which it has been so far
Spotify, phone connection and everything has been faultless so far

I have used CarPlay in the past and it is not this awesome solution to all problems, that everyone seems to think it is

Ultimately it’s all the same software. Plus they mention it’s been confirmed on a Velar :-)

Compared to the crap that is Incontrol apps, CarPlay is far superior.

I didn’t think 18C was now available to all dealers, need to ask my one again.
