Hey guys

I activated in-control last week and so far, stuff works. I noticed 'Live' on the infotainment screen in the car and tried logging in with my in-control login as per instruction but the screen just has the 'Verifying' message with the spinner. Am I missing something? Do i need a mobile subscription or something else? There is a SIM card under the armrest.

Was the car from a LR dealer? If so the dealer should have set this up for you. If not then you can try the using Ubigi set up. Make a note of the SIM number (the one printed in the SIM) as you need this to set it up.

You can only use an activated data SIM I think... can even from any network.

The Ubigi SIM gives you 500MB per month for three years. As yours is a 2019 car you have time left on the service free of charge.

It's renewed each month (on the activation date) and you can't carry unused data over to the next month. Benefit of this SIM is all LR software updates do not get counted against your data allowance. If you use any other SIM they will.

Thanks!
It was from a LR dealer but obviously wasnt setup. Is it easy enough to do through the Ubigi app? If theres no charge. I'd like to get it running

Easy to set up in the car. Then download the app and use same credentials to log in. Ubigi (if it is an Ubigi SIM) is free for three years. 500MB per month. Just follow the instructions on the link I posted.

Both the dealer and I failed to get the Ubiqi card to work. I ended up putting a Three 24gb/24 month card in and it's worked faultlessly since. Only cost about ÂŁ40.
Ubigi should be able to send a new one... the dealer probs can sort for you or email them. Only reason is SOTA updates are data free with the Ubigi SIM, will come off your allowance on the Three SIM. Also Ubigi will roam in the UK so when there it's no Three signal (my phone is on Three) the car generally still has one. But overall I do find Three pretty good signal wise anyway...
